I am a passionate and experienced Lactation Consultant with over 16 years of experience helping women succeed on their breastfeeding journeys. I have always had a passion for learning more about breastfeeding in college and decided to go onto to become an IBCLC shortly after. Once I experienced breastfeeding my four children, I found that each breastfeeding journey was much different. I found that breastfeeding is not just about the benefits and nourishment for the baby, but the empowerment I felt made me more determined to help other moms achieve that same feeling. I received amazing support from other lactation colleagues and my fellow mom-to-mom community, which made me even more equipped to give moms peer and professional support rooted in evidence-based practice. I am dedicated and excited to be providing families with the tools they need to achieve their own personal feeding goals.

I never would have imagined that I would become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, but after experiencing the empowerment I felt from sustaining my children with my own body, and the top-notch support and expertise of lactation professionals, I knew that this was the job for me. 

I am so blessed to be the mother of two beautiful children, and I have experienced two very different breastfeeding journeys with them both. I believe this was directly related to the amount of support I received from lactation professionals after my children were born. Turning to clinically trained lactation professionals who utilized current health recommendations helped me blow far beyond my initial breastfeeding goals and empowered me as a mother. 

It was after my own experience that I realized I wanted to become the person that empowered and equipped others in their lactation journeys. I am passionate about building up current and prospective parents and giving them the tools that they need to meet their breastfeeding or chestfeeding goals. I am dedicated to providing unbiased and judgment-free support to those who seek my services. My main desire as an IBCLC is to help families successfully feed their babies in the way that they choose while providing the most up-to-date information to them. 

Hello, I’m Gina! I am a registered dietitian and lactation consultant located in Howard County. I am passionate about helping parents achieve their own infant feeding goals, while ensuring they feel nourished and cared for themselves. 

I have always been intrigued with breastfeeding from the time I was a little girl, curious and fascinated as my family members nursed their babies.

After many ups and downs breastfeeding my daughter and working with an IBCLC, it finally pushed me to fulfill my dream! I know how important and critical it was to have support, and I want nothing more than to provide that for you! 

I am so fortunate to be a mother to my beautiful and spunky one year old daughter, Camille. We love to go on walks, adventure outdoors, and spend time with family. 

Hi! My name is Holly. I’ve been working in the world of babies for 20 years! I can easily say babies are my passion! I started out as a NICU nurse for many years and eventually became a mother myself. My breastfeeding journey with my son is what led me towards my love for lactation. After my experiences, I was empowered to learn how to help others succeed. I had a mother who was very supportive of my nursing journey , but it is so common for many to have very little or no support. I have always especially wanted to be that support person for them.

I now have 8 years of lactation work experience to help me , help you ! Along with the challenging work in the NICU, I have worked in an inpatient setting since 2015 along with providing outpatient consults and support groups. I will be offering in home consults in the Shelby/Johnson/Bartholomew/Marion county areas. I can also offer virtual visits.

The female body amazes me… The way it can grow, birth, then feed that same infant tailor made milk is breathtaking every time.

I pride myself as a registered nurse and international board certified lactation consultant who provides compassionate care for those who I serve. From 2013-2017, I worked in OB/lactation at a local hospital. I received my IBCLC in 2017 and became the breastfeeding coordinator at a local WIC agency, where I helped families for the past 4 years. I recently left my position at WIC to go back to school for my master’s degree to become a women’s health nurse practitioner.

I married my high school sweetheart and we have two beautiful children whom were both breastfed, with completely different journeys. My job as your lactation consultant is to help you with your journey whether it’s 2 days, 2 months, 2 years, or more!

With my first two babies, Elsie and Emmett, I was not an infant feeding therapist or lactation consultant. We had many struggles and challenges that drove me into this line of work. Tongue and lip ties, low weight gain, painful latch, chronic plugged ducts, etc. While I wish I didn’t have to go through those challenges, I’m kind of glad I did. I would not be here if it weren’t for my journey with my first two.

After all of my feeding challenges with those two, I was inspired to help other parents. I dedicated myself to continuing my education to become an infant feeding specialist. In addition to my Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology, I am a Certified Lactation Specialist, have Tethered Oral Tissues Specialty Training (TOTS), have advanced training in therapy techniques for pre & post frenectomy, and Cranial Sacral Therapy training, as well as Tummy Time! Method. You could say I love learning!

When my third baby, Adalie, arrived, I thought we would have smooth sailing. I had my own lactation consultant lined up and ready to go. I had hundreds of continuing education hours about lactation, infant feeding, and bodywork, and I had helped numerous families address their feeding challenges. I assumed my third baby would be the best and easiest feeding journey out of my three. However, I was wrong. Very wrong.

My journey with Adalie included low weight gain, latching difficulties, bottle refusal, exclusively pumping, and multiple food allergies. We found our way through, but it was not an easy or enjoyable experience for several months. I know what it is like to be in those incredibly difficult, seemingly impossible, and quite dark times during feeding difficulties -I was there myself. I would not wish that on anyone. When you work with me, you can be assured that I am not just another professional with head knowledge and book smarts. I am a parent who has lived this myself.

I learned what classes can’t teach you- empathy and compassion in the midst of feeding challenges.

My breastfeeding experience with my first was completely opposite from my second. One major difference between the two experiences was my support system. To belong and connect with others, changed not only my breastfeeding outcome but my LIFE. After this realization, I knew I had to tell the world. My way of doing that was to become a Lactation Consultant and offer the same support, kindness, and compassion to new and expecting mommas, that was offered to me.

I have a passion for spreading education and awareness on perinatal mood disorders (anxiety/depression), utilizing community resources, offering education to family/friends on ways they can help and support their breastfeeding momma, and bringing to light the significance of being a mom and baby advocate.

I am a CLC based in north central Indiana and I am so excited to be on the Milk Guide team! I’m married to my high school sweetheart, Max, and we have one sweet little boy, Luca! 

After having Luca, we dealt with some weight gain issues that were tied to poor feeding. During this experience, I felt this big tug on my heart to help other families who might be experiencing something similar, but had no idea where to start. I developed a passion for things like normalizing postpartum realities, life with a new baby, breastfeeding education, and giving yourself *grace* in those precious (but sometimes challenging!) moments after bringing baby home. After getting help from an amazing IBCLC, I felt so much more confident in my breastfeeding journey and I knew that this is the field I was meant to be in. I went back to school, obtained my CLC, and am currently working towards my IBCLC alongside the amazing women at Milk Guide! 

I feel that the struggles I experienced with Luca can help me relate to other families. I also know that support and education is so important in the lactation space and I am so grateful to be able to provide that for the families I get to help. My goal is to provide compassionate, quality care to every family I meet and I look forward to working with you! 

I am a Certified Lactation Counselor and Certified Postpartum Doula based in Michiana and I believe that the weeks and months after the birth or adoption of a new baby should be filled with love and support. As a lactation professional, I am here to give you the tools and encouragement to meet your infant feeding goals. 

I entered the birth and postpartum world professionally as a doula in 2020 after a difficult breastfeeding and postpartum journey with my first child. I was convinced that women deserved better and wanted to be a part of the change. I believe that proper support and education makes all the difference in the experience of a new family. It is my dream to have streamline care for all families during pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond. 

Since 2020, I have welcomed my second child and entered the lactation profession as a CLC. Breastfeeding doesn't always come easily and I want to provide the tools and encouragement needed to help you overcome any breastfeeding obstacles you may face. I am currently being mentored by some lovely ladies with Milk Guide to earn my IBCLC. Booking with me means you have two minds and hearts working to give you the best support possible!

My passion for the birthing community started at a young age. I went into nursing school knowing I wanted to be an OB nurse. Since graduating from Bethel University with my RN in 2018, my love for birth work has only increased. I worked as a labor and delivery nurse for 3 years before making the switch to outpatient care. I never thought I would leave labor and delivery, but my passion has truly grown and developed into something I never imaged. As much as I have loved labor and delivery, I also felt like something was missing. I missed the patient relationships I would make, I missed the mothers, the babies and their families. Working as an OB community nurse has allowed me to carry on those relationships on a deeper level.

My love for lactation and breastfeeding developed with the knowledge I gained through education, classes and personal experience. I know firsthand how challenging and rewarding breastfeeding can be. I am also aware of the extra love and support birthing mothers need during this time. As a young mother, I never really had the support and education I craved. I often felt alone and forgotten. Everything and everyone's focus went straight to my baby and my feelings and experiences went to the wayside and even though I had family around, I wasn't able to verbalize my feelings or needs. As your lactation specialist, I will make sure that your needs and feelings and experiences are being heard. I will go out of my way to make you feel empowered and supported. As a lactation specialist, my hope is to help you achieve your breastfeeding journey goals. I know that every journey looks different, there will be ups and there will be downs, but regardless of your journey, I will be there to walk with you through every step. I will educate you, support you, talk with you and help you navigate the road ahead. As a certified lactation specialist, I will be under the mentorship of several IBCLCs associated with Milk Guide as I work toward my accreditation hours for my IBCLC board exam. Being mentored by an IBCLC will allow me to provide you the best care and support possible with not only one professional input but two.

I am currently a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist and am on my way to becoming an IBCLC here with the wonderful mentors at Milk Guide. My Story began a few years back in Colorado as I was pursuing my degree in Speech Therapy. I remember hearing one of my instructors mention how closely knit the field of Speech Therapy was to Lactation Consulting. I kept her words in my pocket for years until I gave birth to my son. 

The journey and path was beautiful and challenging, but in the first days and weeks of motherhood I realized how vital professional lactation support would be. My son had rising bilirubin levels in his blood and as a result, our main care provider no longer advised nursing. Nevertheless, I trusted my gut feeling and got a second opinion from a couple of Lactation Consultants. I was quickly given the tools and confidence to nurse my baby just as I had longed to. The experience was life giving for me and my family. 

Since then I began to pursue the opportunity to provide this amazing care, education,  and support to others. Just as the old saying goes "You don't know what you don't know." It is nothing short of an honor and joy to come alongside families in a time of new beginnings and challenging change. I look forward to helping you with any and all of your feeding goals!
